Bond Street (and around)

Why we just can't keep you cooped up in the classroom.

When we say Bond Street Languages is in the heart of the West End of London, we really mean it. Our school is on South Molton Street, a pedestrian passage lined with some of London's best boutiques, and one minute away from Bond Street Station and Oxford Street.

We believe that practicing your language skills while exploring the city is the perfect way to reinforce what you've learnt in the classroom. We take our clients outside, to see what London has to offer, to grab a coffee or a bite to eat and to stretch your legs - and your vocabulary!

Here's a taster of just a few of the local highlights you might explore during your course at Bond Street Languages.

St Christopher's Place

We're just round the corner from St Christopher's Place, a pedestrianised street crammed with boutiques, cafes and characterful restaurants. A wonderful place for a stroll, or for a spot of lunch (all in your chosen language, of course).

Bond Street

London's famous Bond Street: home to some of the biggest brands and most respected designers. This really is the shopping centre of the world.

Brown Hart Gardens

A raised terrace above an old electricity substation, Brown Hart Gardens is an oasis of planting and colour in the heart of Mayfair. It has a lovely cafe with lots of glazing, and there's often a food market at lunchtime - it's a favourite destination of many Bond Street Languages teachers.

South Molton Street

Our street - South Molton Street - is one of London's hidden gems. It's a wonderful mix of independent boutiques, the best high street chains, and designer shops. If you want artisan coffee, organic skincare or a new wardrobe, there's something for you here.

Hyde Park

We're located less than 10 minutes walk away from London's green lung - Hyde Park. It's 350 acres of green space to explore - with the Serpentine river, lido, an art gallery, summer pavilion and the Princess of Wales memorial fountain. Oh, and there's also a lot of coffee, ice-cream, and chatting-in-deckchairs opportunities.

London architecture

Within our teaching days (which are long and effective - either 8 or 12 hours of 1:1 teaching) you'll take strolls around the local area. The shops and streetlife in London are exciting, but don't forget to look up - the architecture of Mayfair, from Georgian terraces to brand new buildings is a joy to explore. There's nowhere quite like it.
