Why we're here
Ana Herrera founded Bond Street Languages in London in 1994.
A qualified teacher fluent in four languages, Ana was unimpressed by the traditional language teaching she had received during her studies. Her own experience had shown her that the only way to really learn a language was to live it. So she set up BSL with a simple aim: to make language learning fast, effective and enjoyable.

Our team is made up of skilled, professionally qualified tutors from around the world. Every member of the team shares a passion for teaching, a fascination with languages and a joy in seeing clients grow.
Within ten days of one-to-one tuition, we’ve seen clients improve from absolute beginners to very competent B2 level. Some of our clients go on to take professional or academic exams just after our courses.
Our approach is straightforward: we provide one-to-one language training in weeks of 8- or 12- hour uninterrupted days. We take our clients outside the classroom to explore the West End of London, developing vocabulary and linguistic skills in the real world. It’s a concentrated, efficient method that really works. Over the last 20 years, our teaching has enabled hundreds of companies and private individuals to thrive abroad.
